One honest note before we start. A quick word on each:

Steel Intense EDT Duo — R299. The lowest-priced way into the specials this month: two 60ml eau de toilettes for less than the saving on some of the other deals. Keep one and gift one — or split the deal with a friend, and you've each paid R149.50 for a full-size fragrance.

After Midnight EDP Buy-1-Get-1-Free — R499. Yes, you read that right: buy one 75ml After Midnight EDP and the second bottle is free — a full R499 saving. It's an eau de parfum, too, the stronger concentration, so it's made to stay with you through the day. Two bottles, and you've kept it under R500.

Black Diamond Nights EDT Duo — R529. Two full 100ml bottles — 200ml of fragrance all told. This is the deal I do the maths on below, because the value per millilitre is genuinely startling.

redd For Her EDP and redd For Him Elixir EDT — R549 a deal. Both redd specials land at the same price, which makes a lovely matching his-and-hers moment: one deal for her, one for him, and each of you ends up with a spare bottle for later.

Are the August perfume duos really good value?

Let's do the maths on one. The Black Diamond Nights EDT Duo gives you 200ml of fragrance for R529 — about R2.65 per millilitre. And the brochure's own saving figure tells you what that would normally cost: R529 plus the R469 you save comes to R998 for the pair, which is R499 a bottle — R4.99 per millilitre at full price. Same fragrance, roughly half the price per millilitre, and you end the year with a spare bottle instead of an empty one.

After Midnight only looks dearer per millilitre because it's an eau de parfum — the stronger concentration, so a little goes further per wear. You're welcome to take any of these numbers along to a perfume counter and compare.

Why do Avroy Shlain perfume prices change every month?

Avroy Shlain sells through a monthly brochure, and each brochure sets its own prices and specials. That's why every deal on this page says "August 2026" and "valid until 31 August 2026" — come 1 September, a new brochure starts and a new set of specials takes over. It's also why I'd rather point you to a live source than print a long price list here: a price that's right today can be out of date in three weeks.
