No registration fee, no starter kit you have to buy, and no stock you're forced to hold: you sign up for free, and the only money you'll ever spend is on products — which, if you work the way we teach, your customers have already paid you for.

I get this question on WhatsApp almost every week, usually asked carefully, as if there must be a catch — how much do I really need to start? And I understand why. Plenty of opportunities out there want money from you before you've earned a cent. So let me put the whole answer in writing — what's genuinely free, what you need to register, and the small real-life costs worth knowing about before you begin.

How much does it cost to join Avroy Shlain?

Nothing. Here is the honest breakdown of everything people usually expect to pay for, next to what you actually pay:

What are the requirements to join Avroy Shlain?

You need four things, and most people reading this already have all of them:

1. You're 18 or older.
2. You have a valid South African ID.
3. You live in South Africa.
4. You have your own cellphone number. This one matters — the one-time PIN that confirms your registration arrives by SMS, so it must be a number in your hands, not a borrowed phone.

That's the whole list. No matric certificate, no sales experience, no bank statement, no interview.

What happens the minute I register?

Two things, quickly. First, your account number arrives by SMS — that number is your business, and it's yours from day one. Second, the Stay Ravishing team sends your first steps on WhatsApp: how to see this month's brochure, how to take your first orders, and who to ask when you get stuck.

There's no waiting period. You could register in the morning and show the brochure to a colleague at lunch.

If joining is free, when do I actually pay for anything?

Only when you order stock — and if you work the way we teach you, that's stock your customers have already paid you for.

The rhythm is simple: you share the brochure, your customers place orders with you and pay you the brochure price, and then you place one order with head office at your Beauty Advisor price. Your customers' money covers the order. The difference stays in your pocket, because a Beauty Advisor earns 25% on what she sells (before VAT) — you buy at BA price, sell at the brochure price, and that gap is your profit.

To make it concrete, purely as an illustration: if you sold R2,000 of orders in a month, you'd keep about R500 of it.

Some Beauty Advisors do also choose to order a few extra items to have on hand — a perfume that's on special, a body butter that always sells. That's a choice you make when your business is moving, never a condition of joining.

Are there hidden costs behind the R0 Avroy Shlain joining fee?

No hidden ones — but there are two small, real ones, and I'd rather you hear them from me now than discover them later.

Airtime and data. Your brochure lives on WhatsApp, your orders come in on WhatsApp, and our team training happens on WhatsApp. It's not a lot of data, but it isn't zero either.

Getting orders to your customers. If your customers are at your work, your church, or in your street, this costs you a walk. If some are further away, budget the odd taxi fare. And on your own stock orders, delivery is free over R550 to your door, or over R750 to a PAXI collection point — so most Beauty Advisors pay nothing to receive their stock.

Is there a monthly fee?

No. There is no monthly fee, no membership subscription, and nothing you owe just for having an account.

Do I have to buy stock?

No. You order against orders your customers have already placed and paid for. You never have to fill a cupboard with products on the hope that someone might want them.

How long does registration take?

About a minute. The online registration asks for your details, sends the one-time PIN to your cellphone by SMS, and you're done. Your account number follows by SMS, and our team takes it from there on WhatsApp.

What if I have never sold anything before?
